The Music Business Network’s Mentoring Program

 

The Music Business Network has recently launched a mentoring program. Obtaining a mentor is an important career development tool for individuals who are just starting out in the music industry. Research indicates that individuals who have had mentors perform better on the job, advance more rapidly within organizations (like getting promoted more quickly and earning higher salaries), and report more job and career satisfaction,” says Lillian Eby, professor of applied psychology at the University of Georgia. If you are a student of the music industry (or a recent graduate) and feel that you would benefit from having a mentor, please sign up to participate in this fantastic program by filling out The Music Business Network’s Mentor Request Form.

How To Obtain A Mentor Through The Music Business Network’s Mentoring Program

 

A little confused about what you want to do in the music industry? Sign up with our mentoring program to have someone guide you throughout your career. If you are interested in obtaining a mentor please fill out The Music Business Network’s Mentor Request Form, attach your resume, and send it to The Music Business Network via email. Please note that protégés must have either recently graduated (within the last 3 years) from a music or entertainment industry program at a nationally accredited college or university OR must currently be studying the music or entertainment industries at a nationally accredited college or university.

**Please Note: If you fail to apply to the mentoring program correctly you will not be eligible to participate.**

Become A Mentor

 

Interested in giving back to the music business community by sharing your insights and experiences? Take a student of the music industry (or a recent graduate) and help guide them and teach them to make wise decisions in the industry. If you are interested in becoming a mentor please fill out The Music Business Network’s Mentor Sign Up Form. Please note that mentors will not be assigned to more than two protégés and you will not be contacted by any individuals who have not requested to become a  protégé.

  2. Hello, I’m currently a student at the Los Angeles Film/Recording school and I am very interested in your mentor program. I downloaded the Mentor Request Form, all I’m needing now is the email address. If you could get back to me I’d gladly appreciate it!

  3. Hello, I am recent graduate of a traditional college I got my degree in communications. I am enrolling to get a Master’s degree in entertainment business but I am unable to find the mentor request form. I would greatly appericate this opporunity.

  4. Hello! If you are having difficulty locating our Mentor Request Form it is located under the “Get A Mentor” button and the application download link is bolded and italicized. It is called “The Music Business Network’s Mentor Request Form.”
