In our humble opinion, the KMF just keeps getting better and better.  Here’s our latest news…

Though our partnership with Smashtune.com, we are offering a chance for you to attend the 2011 Kauai Music Festival FREE of charge*, with 5 nights PAID hotel accommodations during the event, AND a reserved spot for you to perform in one of our concerts!  For details, please see the “CONTEST DETAILS” section below.

BUT FIRST – Please remember the Kauai Music Festival is now less than 2 1/2 months away.  This year, it runs from July 13 – July 16, and we are  getting sign-ups on a daily basis and we limit attendance in order to maintain a high-quality, intimate event, so…

Smashtune.com is an online songwriting contest website that uses a community based voting system to determine the winner of their competitions. There are no formal judges, the winner is the person who has accumulated the most votes by the end of the competition. Smashtune is also a great venue to gain exposure and feedback for your music!

Who can vote for songs on Smashtune.com?

Voting is open to the general public, anyone can vote for your song on Smashtune. Telling friends and family to support you is highly encouraged!

How much does it cost to enter the KMF Smashtune competition?

There is NO FEE to enter the competition. This contest is being provided free of charge!

How do I enter my song in the KMF Smashtune competition?

All song submissions are in the form of a video. Smashtune uses YouTube exclusively to host the videos for their competitions.

Follow these three simple steps to enter the KMF / Smashtune competition:

1. Create an account at Smashtune.com
2. Upload a video of you or someone else performing your original song to YouTube.
3. Give Smashtune the link to your YouTube video.

* If you already have a video on YouTube you would like to enter, simply create a Smashtune account and provide the link to your existing YouTube video.

When does the KMF Smashtune competition end?

The KMF Smashtune competition runs from April 26th to June 30th. The sooner you enter your song the more opportunity you have to receive votes!
