Though our partnership with, we are offering a chance for you to attend the 2011 Kauai Music Festival FREE of charge*, with 5 nights PAID hotel accommodations during the event, AND a reserved spot for you to perform in one of our concerts!  For details, please see the “CONTEST DETAILS” section below.

What is is an online songwriting contest website that uses a community based voting system to determine the winner of their competitions. There are no formal judges, the winner is the person who has accumulated the most votes by the end of the competition. Smashtune is also a great venue to gain exposure and feedback for your music!

Voting is open to the general public, anyone can vote for your song on Smashtune. Telling friends and family to support you is highly encouraged!

How much does it cost to enter the KMF Smashtune competition?

There is NO FEE to enter the competition. This contest is being provided free of charge!

How do I enter my song in the KMF Smashtune competition?

All song submissions are in the form of a video. Smashtune uses YouTube exclusively to host the videos for their competitions.

Follow these three simple steps to enter the KMF / Smashtune competition:

1. Create an account at

3. Give Smashtune the link to your YouTube video.

* If you already have a video on YouTube you would like to enter, simply create a Smashtune account and provide the link to your existing YouTube video.

When does the KMF Smashtune competition end?

The KMF Smashtune competition runs from April 26th to June 30th. The sooner you enter your song the more opportunity you have to receive votes!

Hello Music’s first CMJ Showcase is this Wednesday, October 20th. For those unfamiliar, they’re an L.A.-based startup that focuses on providing synch placements, radio rotation, recording time, and other opportunities for new and developing bands. Every piece of music that gets uploaded to their website is screened and evaluated by an experienced A&R team, with a full feedback report given to the artists themselves. They have 6 excellent bands playing on Wednesday, go network, drink, and enjoy some great live music.
