Qualifications:
Candidates should of course have an interest in dance, be comfortable with patron engagement, have knowledge of all Microsoft Office software, be a good multi-tasker, and should thrive in a high-energy, busy work environment. EOE. The right candidate will be representing Ailey to our highly valued group leaders, and thus must have an excellent attitude both on the phone and in-person.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre is seeking an intern to assist their External Affairs/Marketing Department with their Group Sales Campaign. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with direct mail and email marketing campaigns, working directly with box office personnel on order fulfillment, aiding the Group Sales Coordinator with additional correspondence, record-keeping and reporting, running errands to the theater, and covering some performances on nights and weekends as a part of the External Affairs team. Excellent opportunity to work with one of the world’s leading dance companies during their highly anticipated New York City Center Season.
